Woznotalot

In 2006 we started out as Western Sydney Buy/Swap/Sell/Freebies Group to be primarily helping out less fortunate people in our community with giving away recycled reusable goods and shortly afterwards changed our name to Australia's Buy Sell Swap Freebies Groups now to provide an alternative to other recycling groups that only allow to recycle goods primarily. Every little bit helps. Creating a basic website at www.australiasbuysellswapfreebiesgroups.org and went on to create several state and local groups growing moderately up to 2010. Where as in September 2010 we decided to build a dedicated website for recycling goods and set out on creating www.woznotalot.com.au with the assistance of Ramms Multimedia in Queensland. The Woznotalot website has taken shape in late 2010 and into early 2011 in designing an easy to use website for everyone to use. Funded primarily from our own funds so that Australia can have a dedicated online recycling website for members to Recycle Re-Usable Goods and help the environment survive for all future generations.

Over the last four years several Local Volunteer Moderators who assist with the original Australia's Buy Sell Swap Freebies Groups using Yahoo(TM) Group's in their Local Areas have assisted making BSSF grow from strength to strength.

Local Volunteer Moderators and Local Group Moderators are volunteers that offer their time to create and moderate our local recycling web based groups.

Generally we ask that you become a Local Volunteer Moderator First in one of the groups to learn the position as a LVM or LVG first. From there after initial training as a Local Group Moderator is provided by a member of the Leadership Team from Woznotalot who will assist set up with you of a new group in your area.

If you want to create a group (link to create a group page)initially the Leadership Team at Woznotalot will assist you in creating the group and provide training for Local Group Moderator.

At all times we request that the Local Group Moderator-LGM live in the area that the group is covered by which is usually covered by the local council boundaries. If you move out of the local government area we ask that you contact the Leadership Team at Woznotalot to help assist with finding a new LGM to take the position in the group.

We are setting up groups in Australia but would also setup international groups in the future.

LVM's and LGM's are passionate about what they do and help also to train other moderators into the position. Training for all Moderators as Local Volunteer Moderators - LVM's is organised and undertaken by the Woznotalot Leadership Team and other LGM's who are already experienced in moderating other recycling groups. The website owners are Group Owners, Senior Local Volunteer Moderators, Local Group Moderators and The Woznotalot Leadership Team.

Most training is on the job and generally web and email based. And is based on a 1-3 months training for both the Senior Local Volunteer Moderator, Local Group Moderator and the new Local Volunteer Moderator. Moderators work together to gain experience and understand the functions and settings of the group. Teamwork and passion is the key to working with us.
